Meet Our Team
Paul J. Bubniak
Vice President, Trust & Investment Officer

You can’t get more “proactive and knowledgeable” than Paul, said one of his clients. “He is available to me whenever I need him to direct my financial decisions—even when they fall slightly outside of our First County relationship. There is a high degree of trust based on his character and experience,” the client added.

As a Vice President and Trust and Investment Officer, Paul helps make his clients’ lifestyle goals a reality by providing investment management, estate planning, and trust and fiduciary services to individuals, families, endowments, foundations, and charitable organizations. Committed to helping clients select and maintain the best financial solutions for their needs, Paul directs the optimal investments of his clients’ assets, establishes trust accounts, and ensures that distributions and tax filings are handled properly.
RESPONSIVENESS
“Paul develops his relationships by understanding clients’ needs, educating them, and providing honest information about our services,” says a colleague. “He is patient and willing to speak to clients in a place that is convenient for them—and in a way they understand.”
Starting his career with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Queens College, Paul is modest about his accomplishments. “Lots of people do investments, but how you treat your clients is important,” he says. “I’m proud of the customer service focus of First County Bank and our Advisors, and I try my best to be a great listener and make people feel comfortable.”
In this regard, Paul believes that coming up with good financial solutions is based on “the input I’m getting from the client or prospect, so their comfort level is critically important. We formulate a tailored strategy based on their needs.”
KNOWLEDGE
After more than a decade growing client relationships at First County Advisors and a career marked by diverse personal interactions, Paul can assess client aspirations and apply his knowledge to the job at hand with great effectiveness. This also serves him well outside of the bank, as a volunteer basketball coach with the Danbury Athletic Organization, where he emphasizes not just skills, but the value of good communication and teamwork.
Paul lives in Danbury, where he and his wife raised five children. An avid New York Mets fan, he enjoys watching sports of all kinds. “I love the drama,” he says, “and it gives me the opportunity to leave the planning and execution to others.”
